Three Simple Steps to Optimal Health

There are three simple steps that you can choose to achieve optimal health for your child without changing your lifestyle.

  1. Improve your Child's Cell-to-Cell Communication
Cell-to-cell communication is the field in which Dr Guenter Blobel of New York was awarded 1999 Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology, "The most exciting health discovery of the 20th Century".

In very simple terms, in order to be and stay healthy your child's body cells need to be able to identify the enemy, mobilise the right cell to kill it and get another cell to clear away the waste products. Plus, they must ensure they avoid killing the healthy cells in the process.

Each cell in your child's body has a code made up of eight essential carbohydrates (sugars). It is this code that is fundamental to the process of cell-to-cell communication.

Until very recently most scientists believed that the only use our bodies had for carbohydrates (sugars) was in the production of energy. It is now documented in the 1996 Harper's Biochemistry, 24th Edition, that of the 200 monosaccharides occurring in nature eight are vital to the structure, function and communication of all human cells.

The eight essential sugars are galactose. glucose, mannose, N-acetylneuraminic acid, fucose (not fructose) N-acetylgalactosamine, xylose and N-acetylglucosamine.

Without efficient cellular communication our immune systems are compromised. When the immune system functions poorly, viruses, bacteria, fungi and other invaders can proliferate unchecked; Cancer and other abnormal cells may not be appropriately recognised and destroyed; and the destructive processes may be inappropriately unleashed against the body's healthy tissues.

Our modern western diet sadly only contains two of the essential sugars: namely glucose and galactose. Potentially your child is missing the other six because his or her body can't always make the rest. If this is the case then his or her cellular communication efficiency could be reduced by as much as 75%.

Now the good news, add all eight essential sugars to your child's daily diet and his or her health is likely to significantly improve.

  2. Improve your Child's Anti-Oxidant Support
When oxygen is used up by the body during normal day-to-day activities some may be converted to a highly charged form known as FREE RADICALS or reactive oxygen. Too much of this can cause damage to the other cells of the body so it is essential that we have a good supply of foods that contain anti-oxidant vitamins and minerals and also newly discovered compounds called phyto-nutrients. All of these help to neutralise free radicals and help reduce the amount of wear and tear on our bodies.

Phyto-nutrients, in particular, play a key role in enabling our cells to stop, prevent and reverse oxidative stress and damage. They also support optimal immune system function.

These essential vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients are found in fruits and vegetables. However, what's important to note is Phyto-nutrients are only produced in the last few days of ripening. This means that many of the fruits and vegetables we buy in the supermarkets - which are ripened in transit rather than in their natural state - contain very little. Getting our children to eat five servings of fruit and vegetables a day isn't that easy either although the importance cannot be over emphasised.

  3. Improve your Child's Glandular and Hormone System
The third step to achieving optimal health is having a healthy glandular and hormone system. Stress affects our glandular system and none of us are immune to a certain amount of stress each day. For the child schoolwork, tests and other day-to-day activities can all be stressful and affect their glandular and hormone systems adversely.

A healthy glandular and hormone system helps to fight depression, maintain stable and sufficient energy levels and sense of well being, assists in muscular strength, suppleness and stamina, reduces pain and inflammation, maintains bone density and ensures optimal mental clarity.

So, how do you achieve steps 1, 2 and 3 without changing your lifestyle?

There are now food supplements available worldwide, which help with each of these three steps to Optimal Health. These products are safe, natural and scientifically validated. To prove it, they were taken and are supported by the US, Canadian and Australian track and field Olympic 2000 teams.

Since November 1999 these products have been available for purchase in the United Kingdom. If you would like your child to enjoy optimal health isn't it time you chose to discover more about them?
