As we look at the children around us, it is fascinating to observe the different types of personality they have. Some children are very outgoing and fun-orientated, while others are quieter and more reflective; some are highly analytical in decision making, while others prefer to rely on their feelings; some feel more comfortable living in a planned orderly way, while others prefer to be more spontaneous and impulsive.

There is no "perfect" or "right" personality. Every child's personality can be viewed and managed positively if the child's development needs and inherent weaknesses are accepted and understood. With this in mind the BUTLER PROFILE has been researched and developed to model a child's personality with sufficient accuracy to make it a very positive and beneficial management tool for parents and teachers alike.

Why Complete a Butler Profile?

The BUTLER PROFILE provides you with an unbiased, independent view of a child. It relies upon truthful answers to simple and straightforward questions. The analysis of the profile will allow you to:

• Identify the key personality traits of the child
• Choose an appropriate and effective management style
• Identify possible causes of frustration and/or any particular areas of difficulty the child may be experiencing
• Reveal the child's strengths and motivators
• Understand the child's weaknesses
• Pinpoint areas for further development and learning
• Reveal the child's key needs and wants

It is important to note that the BUTLER PROFILE is not a diagnostic test and it should not be seen or used as one. It assumes the child is of good mental and physical health and is designed to be used if, and only if, this is the case. The analysis is meant to be positive and therefore should be used only in the best interests of the child.

Instructions for Completing the Profile

1. Read each headline carefully then choose the answer you feel is correct. Remember this is not a diagnostic test. If you are uncertain which option to choose, you may wish to discuss it with other people who know the child or with him/herself. Please ensure NO question is left unanswered. Multiple answers to any questions are unacceptable and will mean the questionnaire cannot be analysed.
2. This form is designed to be analysed ONLY by a trained SPIRITEDKIDS consultant. This is a chargeable service.
3. To receive a standard three-page analysis, please follow the instructions above carefully, complete the payment details section at the bottom of the questionnaire and press the submit button. Alternatively you may wish to print the form and return it to us by post.
